VIRGIN AND CHILD (PERPETUAL HELP)

Description Icon of the Virgin Mary, which is dated back to the 15th century; the Christian tradition connects this picture with the constant supply to the weak, to those who suffer and are in need of love, protection and support. There are reports that it used to be a part of the Monastery of the Kardiotissa Lady, on the mountains of Dikti.

On the moving leaves of the triptych, the Archangels Michael and Gabriel are depicted on the right and the left side, with the same brushwork as the central image.
