Description The icon of Mary holding the Child has been depicted in several ways by hundreds of hagiographers from many different schools. The specific icon is called The Virgin and the Child (of the Angels), painted by an unknown painter in the 18th century. It expresses the Ionian School of hagiographers and is exhibited in the Monastery of St. Andrew, in Cephalonia.

On the moving leaves of the triptych, St. Demetrius and St. George are depicted on the top and Archangel Michael and St. John at the bottom, with the same brushwork as the central image.

Triptych of silkscreen icons coated with pure silver, locally gilded.
