Description Original copy of a Russian icon, known as the Virgin of the Seven Sorrows; seven swords aimed at the heart of Mary, four on the left side and three on the right, symbolizing the pain she experienced watching her Son, at the time of the Crucifixion.

On the moving leaves of the triptych, St. Demetrius and St. George are depicted on the top and St. Catherine and St. Nicholas at the bottom, with the same brushwork as the central image.
