Description One of the most popular images of the Virgin, Mary and the Child is an inspiration and creation of the painter of the Renaissance and significant hagiographer from Rethymno, Emmanuel Tzanes, representative of the Cretan School. The picture was painted in 1651 and is kept in the Holy Monastery of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin, in Corfu.

On the moving leaves of the triptych, St. Demetrius and St. George are depicted on the top and Archangel Michael and St. John at the bottom, with the same brushwork as the central image.

Triptych of silkscreen icons coated with pure silver, locally gilded.
