Description The Holy Family - Jesus, the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph - began to be celebrated officially in the 17th century by Francois de Laval the Blessed, the first Bishop of New France. It is celebrated by the Roman Catholic Church on the first Sunday after Christmas. If that day coincides with New Year’s Day, it is celebrated on December 30.

On the moving leaves of the triptych, St. Demetrius and St. George are depicted on the top and Archangel Michael and St. John at the bottom, with the same brushwork as the central image.

Triptych of silkscreen icons coated with pure silver, locally gilded.
