Description Saint Stylianos from Paphlagonia was the offspring of a wealthy family and was raised to be abstinent and not give value to money; money could be used only to relieve the poor and needy. He had a great love for children and believed that their pure soul could not be compared even to the souls of the major philosophers. God bestowed upon him the gift of healing children and also the ability to make barren women fertile and give them the gift of childbearing.
