Description According to tradition, her parents dedicated her to the service of the Temple in Jerusalem at the age of three. Saint Anna met Ioakim from Galilee and after several years of childlessness had a daughter, who was destined to be the Mother of Jesus, the Virgin Mary. In honor of the mother of the Virgin a large amount of ecclesiastical hymns were created and the Emperor Justinian named a Church in Constantinople after her.

Silkscreen icon with silver frame and wooden casing, locally gilded; the picture is accompanied by a wooden stand.
