Description A brother of Peter the Apostle, Saint Andrew was a disciple of John the Baptist and later of Jesus. He preached Christianity in Bithynia, the Black Sea, Cyprus, Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus and Achaia, where he healed many patients with the power of faith. He is the patron of Patra, where his relics are kept.
