Description Icon painted by the Cretan painter Nicholaos Tzafouris, an excellent representative of the Cretan School. The original image with St. Francis in the background is kept in the Byzantine and Christian Museum, while the same picture of the painter without Saint Francis is kept in the British Museum. Both of them date back to the second half of the 15th century.

On the two moving leaves of the triptych the Archangels Michael and Gabriel are depicted.
