SAINT CHRISTINA

Description A daughter of the idolater, General Urvanos, Saint Christina came from Tyre in Syria. Her father locked her up in a tower with idols and tortured her in order for her to renounce her faith in Christ. However Christ protected her throughout the long course of her martyrdom. When they threw her into the sea, she received the baptism of Christ Himself and was saved. Her suffering continued even after the death of her father. She was taken to court and through her countless tortures and suffering many people believed and embraced the Christian religion.
