Description The image of Mary of Jerusalem is referred to as the one that delivers the most precise form of the Virgin than any other. It was created miraculously, in 1870, during a dream of the nun Tatiana, in the Russian Monastery of St. Mary Magdalene the Myrrh-bearing (Jerusalem, Mount of Olives). According to Christian tradition, Tatiana dreamed of a nun who asked her to paint her portrait. When she woke up, the nun saw in her cell the image not made by human hand. After the first miracle, the nun dreamed of the Virgin, asking her to be transferred to her house in Gethsemane, where she remains to this day and continues to perform miracles.
