Description Jesus is mentioned as a “Good Shepherd” in an excerpt from the Gospel of John 10:1-21. According to the parallelism of Jesus as a Good Shepherd, He seems to regulate His life according to the needs of His “sheep”. The same parallelism is used in Psalm 23. Jesus is mentioned as a Good Shepherd in all four Gospels, not allowing him to lose any of His sheep. The allegorical story, as referred to in the texts of John shows that the people around Jesus were aware of His pronounced quality as the Son of the God. The depiction of Jesus as a Shepherd with His sheep is wide-spread; it is an illustration that communicates love, care and protection.
