Description A disciple of Jesus and caregiver of His mother until her Dormition, an Apostle of love, John, son of Zebedee and Salome and the younger brother of the Apostle James, was originally a disciple of John the Baptist. In his writings, he is constantly mentions love and its power, while every action of his life confirmed it. He followed Jesus with no hesitation of fear till His Ascension. He wrote the 4th consecutive Gospel of the New Testament, the Gospel of love, three Catholic letters and the Apocalypse. He lived to a 100 years old and slept peacefully in 105 AD. The phrase “Little children, love one another” is the one that is inextricably linked to his name. He is celebrated on May 8 and September 26.
