Description It is an icon of the 16th century. As indicated by the Christian hagiography, the Almighty (Pantocrator) Jesus dominates in the central dome of all the Byzantine churches and if the church has no dome then the image of Christ is placed in the center of the roof of the temple. In this version of the image, Jesus is depicted with a strict look - but the love that characterizes him is evident - and a golden halo, holding the New Testament close to his chest with his left hand, while making the gesture of blessing with his right hand. The original icon, which is the source of inspiration for the hagiographer, is located in Sifnos, on the holy rock of Chrysopigi, in the famous monastery of Panagia Chrysopigi, built in 1650.

Silkscreen icon in carved wood with fadeless metallic frame; the icon is decorated with enamel and is locally gilded.
