Description A fisherman by trade, Peter, along with his brother Andrew, followed Jesus and both became His disciples. After the Ascension of the Son of God, Peter preached the Gospel in Judea, Antioch, Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia. According to Christian tradition, he martyred in Rome during the Empire of Nero (54-68 AD) and was crucified in 64 AD. Paul never met Jesus alive. He was born in Tarsus of Cilicia and was a harsh persecutor of Christians. In 36 AD, Jesus appeared to him and from then onwards became the greatest preacher of the Gospel. He was the founder of the Church of Greece and wrote 14 letters to the Churches he founded which are all included in the New Testament. He martyred in Rome between 64 AD and 67 AD.
