Description The icon of Mary Pantanassa from the 17th century, located in the temple of the Great Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, was the inspiration to create copies of the certain image, known among Orthodox Christians for its miraculous tradition. Several cases of cancer sufferers who were alleviated by its miraculous grace are well-known. Two copies of the image, upon a request from the Patriarchate of Moscow, have been transferred to the Church of All Saints in Krasnoe Selo and the Monastery of the Transfiguration of Jesus, in Novospaski.

Handmade icon, crafted in the traditional method of the Byzantine hagiography, on canvas with egg tempera; the image is coated with pure silver, locally gilded. It has been decorated with enamel and Swarovski crystals.
