Description The Annunciation of the Virgin is an image included within the Twelve Feasts (the twelve most important celebrations of Orthodoxy). Located in the Holy Monastery of Stavronikita on Mount Athos, it is included within the artworks of the famous monk-painter Theophanes, founder of the Cretan School.
